Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have announced that all paid parking zones will be free to use on Wednesday, January 1 only and will apply to all public parking except multi-level terminals.
Earlier 1st January, the First Day of the New Year has officially been announced as a national holiday for both the public and private sectors.
All public paid parking zones will be free of charge to mark the New Year, and fees will be reinstated on Thursday, January 2. The authority also confirmed that all the service provider centers (vehicle testing) and the RTA’s customers’ happiness centers will be closed for the holiday.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) also announced the modifications in the public transport timings during the New Year’s Eve and also New Year’s Day.
The Red Line will run from 5:00 am on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, to 12:00 am (midnight) on Wednesday, January 1 2020. The Green Line will operate from 5:30 am on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, to 12:00 am (midnight) on Wednesday, January 1 2020.
The Dubai Tram is scheduled from 6:00 am on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, to 12:00 am (midnight) on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. It will then run from then until 1:00 am on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
Dubai’s main bus stations, such as Gold Souq, will operate from 4:25 am to 00:59 am (past midnight), with the Al Ghubaiba Station in service from 4:14 am to 00:58 am (past midnight). Sub-stations, such as Satwa, will start from 4:45 am to 11:03 pm. Route C01, however, will be operating around-the-clock.
Al Qusais Station will run the bus service from 4:31 am to 00:08 am (past midnight). Al Quoz Industrial Station will be in operation from 5:05 am to 11:35 pm and Jebel Ali Station will operate from 4:58 am and continue up to 11:30 pm.
