The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has now expanded its traffic-related services installment payments for traffic fees by integrating the Tabby popular installment payment platform into all RTA digital platforms. This allows motorists to pay for traffic fines, vehicle renewals, and other services in four simple installments.
The RTA established the collaboration with Tabby last year, aiming to introduce installment payments via RTA’s smart kiosks. Now, the same option has been extended to its all-digital channels, including the RTA website, RTA mobile app, and Nol Pay app. The integration allows payment installments for more than 170 services, including renewing vehicles and driver’s licenses as well as traffic fines, facilitating customer payment management even further. This scheme enables customers to make payments for these services in an installment plan but also for the purchase of vehicle number plates.
This initiative is part of Dubai’s continuous effort to facilitate its Cashless Strategy. The city envisions a fully digital and smart government. The process and introduction of flexible payment options will enhance customer experience while seeking to increase digital adoption and improve the performance of public revenue collection for the Government of Dubai.
Tabby operates in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, and works with over 40,000 global and local brands and small businesses to offer customers more flexibility to purchase. By installing Tabby’s technology into RTA’s digital channels, Dubai aims at making its city accessible and convenient for the residents, staying true to the consumers and advancing the economy.
Through this initiative, RTA gives motorists an affordable method to pay for their fines and fees, while at the same time it helps further Dubai’s vision for a cashless and paperless future. With the introduction of digital solutions, ease and efficiency of payment experience will be expected on the part of users while furthering the broader aspirations of innovation and customer satisfaction in the UAE.
