Dubai initiated the new scheme of Golden Visa for yacht owners with long residency in the emirate. GDRFA announced the launching of the scheme on Monday, a part of the significant strides that UAE is undertaking to attract high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs). Further details regarding long-term residency for yacht owners will be released in the next Dubai International Boat Show 2025, scheduled from February 19 to February 23.
Now celebrating its 31st edition, what began as an annual event for the local maritime industry has evolved to become one of the Middle East’s most talked-about boat shows, attracting regional and international attention. Visitors may view world-class superyachts, exclusive product launches and interface with leading industry experts who are shaping the future of maritime innovation.
This follows a similar program launched in December in Abu Dhabi, which gave such privileges also in the Golden Visa to superyacht owners. An affluent-targeted exclusive benefit scheme offering different exclusive advantages that include experiences under a luxury lifestyle, business access, and long-term residence for the superyacht owner and his/her family.
The most unique feature of Golden Visas in the UAE is that one can remain out of the country for more than six months without losing one’s residency, and the residency can be renewed after ten years. Both features are highly sought after by yacht owners looking for stability and opportunities within the region.
