UAE rains: Free-of-cost restorations for 4,500 storm-hit homes fulfilled

The unprecedented rain in April this year in UAE wreaked havoc on many properties and many people were affected. Emaar Properties said that 4,500 homes that were affected by record rains in April have been repaired for free up to the end of June.

The developer based in Dubai provided free repairing services for all the apartments within its various communities after the UAE experienced the heaviest rainfall it has received in the last 75 years which has led to considerable damage to some of the communities in Dubai, Sharjah, and some of the Northern emirates.

City center Dubai, Emaar South, Dubai Hills Estate, Dubai Creek Harbour, Arabian Ranches, Dubai Marina and The Valley are some of the neighborhoods under Emaar.
Similarly, other key players like MAG and Damac Properties also offered free repair of the homes affected by rain.

In June 2009, the Dubai Government launched an elongated project for the rain drainage master plan in the emirate for an estimated of Dh30 billion that will increase the drainage system by 700 percent and will also cover all parts of the emirate.

8,400 units provided in H1

Emaar Properties has launched 30 projects; for the first half of 2024, it has sold 8,400 units of units, up 56%. Emaar Properties which is among the biggest developers in UAE said it sold 2,500 units in Address Residences Zabeel and Palace Residences Dubai Hills Estate within the first week of what they term as the sale campaign.

The company offered fifty construction-related contracts with a cumulative estimated value of Dh8.7 billion in January – June 2004. “
