The latest hysteria across social media is caused by none other than Streaming Giant’s, Netflix’s latest show. The show called “Messiah” has shocked many of the users of the streaming service as the trailer shows a CIA officer Eva Geller, who investigates a man named Al Massih ad-Dajjal (Mendhi Dehbi) after he gains worldwide notoriety for his ability to perform impossible miracles.
Dajjal has an extensively detailed account told to the Muslim Ummah by the beloved Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Basically, he will be a doppelganger of Prophet Jesus (P.B.U.H) and pose to be the real one, leading people to their destruction. Dubbed as the anti-christ, Dajjal will be one-eyed with the word “kafir” written across his head will be able to perform various miracles amongst which is the power to bring back the dead to life.
With the rise of the Anti-Hero narrative in today’s entertainment, this take on the portrayal of Dajjal is yet to be unveiled. But it has surely sent the viewers into a disarray of how to react to the trailer and has #Dajjal trending worldwide on Twitter.
A group of people has announced their boycott of the series but many still are anticipating the Mission: Impossible — Fallout‘s Michelle Monaghan starred, releasing on 1st January 2020. The role of Al-Masih will be played by Mehdi Dehbi.
A Twitter user by the name @Sultaan_Mo1 quote tweeted the trailer, saying “I’m getting Dajjal vibes” and was allegedly blocked by Netflix.

Throughout the trailer mentions of performing miracles and bringing the dead back to life, the main character has similarities to Dajjal, the series revolves around if this person is the con-artist of the century or is there a reality to it.
Here are some of the Twitter rants:
Guy's. I'm literally shaking. Someone posted that Netflix is coming out with a show called "Messiah" and it's about what will happen in the world when Dajjal appears. I'm shaken to my core what. 😭 May Allāh protect us.

I know people will be outraged by this Messiah show on Netflix if he is indeed supposed to represent the 2nd coming of Jesus or the Dajjal, but the trailer kinda gave me chills.
For people of the Abrahamic faiths, in our beliefs this will be a reality one day & it’s frightening pic.twitter.com/Fis2tduLTW— Ruqaiya (@ruqaiya_h) December 3, 2019
Pray against #Dajjal
“I have told u so much about the Dajjal that I fear u will not understand. He will be a short man, pigeon toed, curly hair. He will b one-eyed, with his eye neither prominent nor sunken
If u become confused about him then remember that ur Lord is not oneeyed" pic.twitter.com/epdvarw3HW— Lord Haydar A. Y ⚖ (@AYHusain) December 4, 2019
