The famous Egyptian movie ‘Hepta: The Last Lecture’, (A love story which is based on Mohamed Sadek’s best-selling book) is once again going to hit the big screens but this time with a new look, feel and region.
The rights of the film are bought by the re-known Bollywood producer and husband of the late diva Sridevi, Mr. Boney Kapoor and he is all set to remake this in Hindi and various Indian languages. The film will be a production of Bayview Projects and will be co-produced by Fresh Lime Films.
The film is based on the best-selling novel Hepta by Mohammad Sadek and directed by Hadi Al Bagoury, revolves around a dying social psychologist who decides to speak about all the lessons he has learned about how we love during his last lecture. Will he successfully answer this simple but profound question?
The interesting part is the characterization which is kept very different in the novel and how the story progressed which is beautifully depicted in the film taking it to another level.
Now there are more expectations from the upcoming remake as the audience will want it to do justice with the original film and the characters.
Mr. Kapoor said that India and Egypt had been strongly influencing each other’s culture, arts, and architecture since ancient times and it will be a pleasure to cooperate with the Egyptian cinema. He strongly believes that this is only the beginning and we shall soon be seeing films from Egypt and India being remade in their respective languages.
Kapoor’s recent projects include the remake of Hindi film ‘Pink’ in Tamil, it features superstar Ajith and is currently being shot under the title ‘AK 59’.
Keeping the fingers cross all are waiting for this to come out great and will look forward to more Egyptian remakes and joint ventures in the future.
