One year. Seven emirates. Millions of customers. And tens of millions of food orders delivered across the UAE. That’s the story behind Keeta’s first year in the UAE, and the food delivery platform certainly hasn’t taken things slowly. After launching in Dubai in September 2025, Keeta expanded across the entire country within just 90 days.
Now, as it celebrates its first anniversary, the platform is looking back at a year of rapid expansion, thousands of restaurant partnerships, community initiatives and plenty of kilometres covered by the people making sure your dinner actually arrives at your door. Here’s everything you need to know about Keeta’s first year in the UAE.
From Dubai To All Seven Emirates In Just 90 Days
Keeta first launched its UAE operations in Dubai in September 2025. Three months later, it had expanded into all seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah.
That means residents across the country could access the platform without having to wait years for it to expand beyond the biggest cities. And the numbers from that first year have continued to grow.
Keeta’s First Year In Numbers
- 7 emirates covered within 90 days of launch
- Millions of customers served
- Tens of millions of orders delivered
- Around 200 million kilometres travelled by delivery partners
- Thousands of restaurant and merchant partners across the country
Not bad for a first year.

It’s More Than Just Another Delivery App
Keeta, which is the international food delivery service of Chinese technology and services company Meituan, entered a UAE market that already has plenty of established food delivery options. So instead of simply bringing the same model to the country, Keeta says it has been adapting its technology and services around how people in the UAE actually order.
That includes localised features and technology designed to make ordering and delivery more efficient. The platform has also introduced an on-time delivery promise, putting delivery speed and reliability at the centre of its proposition.
Thousands Of Restaurants Are Now On The Platform
Of course, a delivery app is only as useful as the restaurants available on it. Keeta says its UAE network now includes more than 10,000 restaurant and merchant partners, representing more than 40,000 locations across the country.
And the selection is pretty broad. You’ll find homegrown UAE favourites alongside international chains, with names including Harees Al Fareej, Kuwaiti Cuisine, Dunkin’, Nando’s, Wingstop and Papa Johns Pizza. That gives customers everything from local comfort food to familiar fast-food favourites, all through the same platform.
Helping Emirati-Owned Businesses Go Digital
Keeta’s UAE journey hasn’t been focused entirely on food delivery. In 2026, the company launched the UAE edition of Programme ABAAD, an initiative designed to support Emirati-owned food and beverage small businesses as they navigate the digital economy.
The first phase was carried out in collaboration with the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and Dubai Chambers. The idea is to give smaller Emirati businesses more opportunities to develop their digital presence and reach customers online.
And Then There Are The Delivery Partners
There’s another side to every food delivery order that’s easy to forget. Someone has to actually bring it to your door. With UAE summers being particularly challenging for delivery riders, Keeta says it has invested in support measures designed to make their working environment more comfortable and safer.
These include air-conditioned hubs across the UAE, rider support spaces with seating and cold drinks, and collaboration with local authorities around delivery safety, health and wellbeing during the summer months. Because that five-star meal arriving at your door doesn’t happen by magic.
Keeta Is Also Putting Its App To Work For The Community
Over the past year, Keeta has launched several initiatives aimed at supporting communities across the UAE.
KeeShare During Ramadan
During Ramadan 2026, customers could use KeeShare to add an additional meal to their order for their delivery rider. The initiative involved more than 1,200 participating restaurants across the UAE, allowing customers to share a meal with the person delivering their food.
Making Local Water More Accessible
Keeta also partnered with Ourwatr, a UAE-based water business, to make locally produced mineral water available through its platform. Part of the proceeds from every bottle goes towards community programmes through the Beit Al Khair Society.
Supporting Bread For All
More recently, Keeta signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai’s Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation to explore digital donation options for the Foundation’s Bread for All initiative.
The programme, developed by the Foundation’s Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy, provides fresh bread and hot meals free of charge to eligible beneficiaries through smart machines operating around the clock.
The proposed partnership would allow Keeta users to contribute through the app, potentially giving the initiative another digital channel to reach people across the UAE.
So, What’s Next For Keeta?
If the first year was about getting across the UAE, year two looks set to be about building on that foundation. Keeta says it plans to continue developing its technology and services around local needs while strengthening relationships with restaurants, merchants and delivery partners.
The company also plans to expand its community initiatives and continue working with government entities and local authorities. Lucas Xie, General Manager of Keeta UAE, described the first year as an important milestone, while noting that the company sees it as only the beginning of its UAE journey.

One Year Down, Plenty More To Come
Going from a Dubai launch to nationwide coverage across all seven emirates in just 90 days is certainly a major part of Keeta’s first-year story.
But beyond the number of orders and kilometres travelled, its UAE expansion has also been about building a network around the food delivery experience from restaurants and small businesses to riders and community initiatives.
And with more than 10,000 restaurant and merchant partners already on the platform, Keeta enters its second year with a sizeable presence across the UAE. So, whether you’re ordering a late-night burger, a Friday family feast or simply trying to decide what’s for dinner, Keeta has clearly become another part of the UAE’s rapidly evolving digital food scene.
