As temperatures continue to climb across the UAE, Dubai Police has launched the “Summer Without Accidents 2026” campaign, urging motorists to prioritize road safety during one of the most challenging driving seasons of the year.
The nationwide initiative, launched in partnership with ENOC AutoPro under the patronage of the Ministry of Interior and the Federal Traffic Council, aims to reduce road accidents, lower traffic fatalities, and encourage responsible driving through public awareness and preventive vehicle maintenance.
Why the Campaign Matters
Summer presents unique challenges for drivers across the UAE. Extreme temperatures can increase the risk of tyre blowouts, engine overheating, battery failures, and other mechanical issues that may lead to serious accidents if vehicles are not properly maintained.
With thousands of residents travelling across the country during the holiday season, authorities are encouraging motorists to ensure both they and their vehicles are fully prepared before setting out on the road.
Dubai Police said the campaign reinforces the message that road safety is a shared responsibility, with every driver, passenger, cyclist, and pedestrian playing a role in preventing accidents and protecting lives.

Supporting the UAE’s Road Safety Vision
The campaign forms part of the UAE’s broader strategy to make the country’s roads among the safest in the world. It also supports the goals of the “We the UAE 2031” vision, which seeks to improve quality of life and further reduce traffic accident fatalities through awareness, innovation, and collaboration.
Colonel Talal Al Mansouri, Director of the Traffic Awareness Department at Dubai Police’s General Department of Traffic, said the initiative reflects the country’s continued commitment to protecting road users.
He noted that the steady increase in vehicles and road users has created new traffic safety challenges, making public awareness campaigns an essential part of efforts to reduce accidents and encourage responsible driving.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid bin Hindi, member of the Federal Traffic Council and Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, said creating safer roads requires cooperation from everyone.
“A safe road begins with awareness and commitment, and our goal is for everyone to return home safely,” he said.
Free Vehicle Safety Inspections for Motorists
As part of the campaign, ENOC AutoPro is offering free vehicle safety inspections at its maintenance centres to help motorists prepare their vehicles for the demanding summer conditions.
The complimentary inspection includes 10 essential vehicle safety checks, covering key components such as tyres, engine oil, and other systems that are critical for safe driving during periods of extreme heat.
To encourage greater participation, ENOC AutoPro will also hold a social media raffle, giving motorists who complete the inspection the chance to win a set of four new tyres.
Simple Steps to Stay Safe This Summer
Dubai Police is encouraging motorists to take a few simple precautions before travelling during the hotter months:
- Check tyre pressure and tread condition regularly.
- Inspect engine oil, coolant, and other essential fluids.
- Ensure the battery and air conditioning system are functioning properly.
- Never ignore dashboard warning lights.
- Avoid speeding and maintain a safe following distance.
- Stay alert, avoid distractions, and never use a mobile phone while driving.
- Plan longer journeys carefully and inspect your vehicle before departure.
Authorities say regular maintenance, combined with responsible driving, can significantly reduce the risk of breakdowns and road accidents during the summer season.
A Shared Responsibility
The “Summer Without Accidents 2026” campaign serves as a reminder that road safety extends beyond law enforcement. By combining preventive vehicle maintenance with responsible driving habits, Dubai Police and its partners hope to reduce accidents, save lives, and ensure that residents and visitors can travel safely throughout the summer.
With free vehicle inspections now available and road safety awareness efforts underway, motorists are being encouraged to take advantage of the initiative and play their part in making the UAE’s roads safer for everyone.
