Dubai Metro to Add 29 New Stations by 2032: Full List and Areas Covered

Your commute is about to change. Maybe for the better. Dubai’s Metro network is heading into its biggest expansion yet, and if you live anywhere near Dubai Creek Harbour, Mirdif, or Jumeirah Village Circle, you’re going to want to keep reading.

Two new lines are coming. The Blue Line is expected to launch in 2029, followed by the Gold Line in 2032. Together, they add 29 stations across areas that, until now, have relied entirely on cars, taxis, or a long walk to the nearest existing station.

Did your neighbourhood make the list? Let’s find out.

    Why This Expansion Actually Matters

Dubai grows fast. The Metro, so far, hasn’t always kept pace.

Areas like Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Hills, and Dubai Festival City have expanded into genuine residential and business hubs over the past decade, yet none of them currently sit on the Metro map.

That changes with these two lines.

The Blue Line focuses heavily on the eastern side of the city, tying together areas like Al Warqa, International City, and Academic City. The Gold Line, meanwhile, threads through some of Dubai’s most in-demand new communities, running from Al Ghubaiba all the way out toward Jumeirah Golf Estates.

New Dubai Metro Blue Line Stations

Eleven stations make up the Blue Line, and the spread covers a wide stretch of the city’s east and southeast:

    1. Academic City
    2. Al Jaddaf
    3. Al Rashidiya
    4. Al Warqa
    5. Dubai Creek Harbour
    6. Dubai Festival City
    7. Dubai International Airport
    8. Dubai Silicon Oasis
    9. International City
    10. Mirdif
    11. Ras Al Khor

Notice the airport on that list? That’s a big one. A direct Blue Line connection to Dubai International Airport could reshape how a lot of residents plan travel days entirely.

New Dubai Metro Gold Line Stations

The Gold Line is bigger, 18 stations in tota  and it cuts through some of Dubai’s fastest-growing residential corridors:

    1. Al Ghubaiba Interchange
    2. Al Mina Street
    3. Al Satwa Road
    4. Al Satwa (near Satwa Bus Station)
    5. City Walk
    6. Business Bay Interchange
    7. Burj Khalifa Road
    8. Etihad Rail Interchange
    9. District 1
    10. Nad Al Sheba
    11. Dubai Village
    12. Dubai Hills
    13. Future Meydan Interchange
    14. Hadeeq Mohammed Bin Rashid
    15. Dubai Miracle Garden
    16. Jumeirah Village Circle
    17. Dubai Production City
    18. Jumeirah Golf Estate Interchange

That’s a serious amount of ground covered. City Walk and Business Bay alone will likely see a noticeable shift in foot traffic once stations open there.

What This Means if You Live Nearby

Property values near confirmed Metro stations tend to move, and Dubai’s history backs that up. Areas along the existing Red and Green Lines saw real interest spikes once stations were confirmed, let alone opened.

If you’re in Dubai Hills, JVC, or Dubai Silicon Oasis right now, that’s worth keeping in mind, whether you’re renting, buying, or just watching your commute time shrink dramatically in a few years.

Of course, 2029 and 2032 are still a way off. Timelines on infrastructure projects this size can shift. But the fact that specific station names and locations are already public suggests this isn’t just an early-stage concept anymore.

For now, the best move is simple: check the list, see if your area’s on it, and start imagining a Dubai where you might not need a car at all.
